Summary of Our Zoom Meeting on 7/15/2025

Hello Family. We had a great Smith Family Reunion Zoom meeting tonight on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.  

Please Note Our remaining Zoom meeting dates are Tuesday, August 5, 2025 and Tuesday, August 19, 2025.  
The meeting times are Tuesday, 5:00pm PST, 6:00pm MST, 7:00pm CST, and 8:00pm EST

Here is the information that was covered.  Please read carefully because some information is being clarified.  

 

1.  We had agreed that at least 10 vegetarian meals would be provided.  Please make sure that we know who you are. 

Day 1 – Friday, 8/29/2025 is Meet and Greet Day. We will meet starting at 3 pm at the Holiday Inn Express:  1255 Frontage Rd, Slidell, LA 70460 Phone: (985)888-1990. You can expect to pick up your lanyards, your t-shirts and lineage book.  Packages should be there for each family or person that registered.  

Day 2 - Southern Food - Saturday, 8/30/2025 - 11 to 1pm is the time allotted for park set-up.  1pm to 6pm is the time scheduled for our family reunion and lunch will be served from 2 to 4 pm..  6 to 7 pm is our clean up time.  Lacombe Parks and Recreation/Rec District 4, John Davis Park, 61100 N 12th St, Lacombe, LA 70445.

Day 3 – Seafood Sunday, 8/31/2025 Sunday 10 to 1pm is a time being set aside for brunch and and saying our good byes.   

2..  Myrtis stated that the preparation for the purchase of the food is now being put in place.

3.  and that T-shirts will be ordered by August 3, 2025.  

4.  July 31, 2025 is the last day to turn in your money. We must have all monies in beginning the first week in August.  The link for submitting money will by August 1, 2025.    

5.  The Family Lineage book is $20 per book.  The last day to order and turn in your monies is July 31, 2025.  All monies are to be sent to Myrtis. Please place all orders with Donald Smith.  (770)314-3065 text or dons568@yahoo.com.   The details are on the Smith Family Reunion website.     

6.  Videos/Photographs – Mwokozi and Jerome are handling this.
